Hello all,
New to this forum this am. I have a land cruiser, but dont even know the model. Its a 2003 7 seater D4D 3lt auto. I have it since 2004 and absolutely love it. I bought it under the disabled passengers regs. Have disabled kids and it was great for moving us all around. Travelled most of europe in it. Things have chenged now and am finding it just too dear to run around in. I am in the process of buying a car but dont want to get rid of my cruiser. I need to change it to a van. I have great danes and have a vivaro van for them. Will get rid of van and use cruiser. I have commercial ins etc on the van.
I hope to find out a few things on this forum. What exactly is the process to convert it to a crew cab. Is there any one person I can go to to do it properly and at minimum cost. How do I go about taxing it etc. I wont pay 1500 tax. If they want that I will put it in the garage and take it out when is 30 yrs old.(what a waste) Finally if any knows the magic spell to get 60 mpg from it please tell me what you need to put into the spell and I will get it !!!!!!!
Thats enough from me at the moment. Thanks

Find your nearest sqi

List here. http://www.nsai.ie/Our-Services/Certification/Automotive-Certification/Type-Approval/Approved-Test-Centers.aspx

Remove seats and seat belts, fill holes, weigh it, find an sqi (suitably qualified individual) and get inspected, send his forms to revenue to check that no vrt is owed. Once revenue has cleared it, doe, insure and tax as commercial.

Crew cab is 30% of the wheelbase must be loadspace.

Same sort of thing. Putting your jeep into neutral on the down hill.
