Greetings from North County Dublin
Recently bartered some Lleyn ewe lambs for my brothers KZJ 70 1996 SWB Commercial. Probably "paid" too much. Just put in new radiator, had Head skimmed and put in a new Starter. "Needed" a 4x4 for the farm and have been eyeing on the 70 for quite a while now. It has been lying up for about two years after overheating. It was resprayed about three years ago, however the lacquer is peeling badly in places. Need to get it through a DOE and Maybe put in rear side windows at some stage. Otherwise I need to sort out the seats, find a gear knob, sort hinge on sagging back door and otherwise Work on the running gear and underbody as needed. In the past I have driven it, when it was in better nick, to Ballymena, I liked its torque and driving position. I have good memories of driving a FJ 60 in Mozambique quite a bit and it was very capable and comfortable, (on hand cut remolds - great grip ) even over 100km of off road. So looking forward to getting the 70 up and going. I have enjoyed reading Landcruisers owners Club Ireland, so thank you, Pat
