Its a 1983 BJ40 red colour swb. Was always around here when i was young and i approached the farmer who owned it to see if i could have it. Its completely wrotten but is being started next tues. I have a better one from 1983/4 that im gonna sit on for a few years. Did you get it done by someone?

Welcome to the forum, there should be a space to fit a screwdriver in, I think torwards the back of it.

@BJ40B2

Picked up the BJ on Friday. Fantastic job done. Just need to get the wheels done, suspension tweaked and new(old) plates. Really happy with the job he did.

@truckDAft

Got it done by a specialist Land Cruiser restorer. Can't compliment him highly enough. Seats were done by another specialist who had done work before for me on another Classic I have.

I'll post up some pics when I get a chance.

Sorted. A screwdriver in near the double switch did the trick. Thanks.

This is it before I replaced the number plates with the original ones.

Hi truckDaft. Yep, bought in 1981 from Carroll & Kinella(they've tried to buy it back) by my other halves Dad so one owner with FSH, and will stay in the family for many more years now. It's quite unique in that way. I sourced OEM parts form 2 different places. In Portugal a place called Megastore 4x4 Auto Paz(ask for Cecilia) and a place in the Netherlands called Cruiser World.

Ya seems parts are plentiful enough when you know where to look. I got portugese panels and have another scrap cruiser sourced for anythng thats salvageable off it. Im very slow to take bits off my better cruiser for the restoration.

Yeah, we kept ours as original as possible and only threw out what needed to be. The guy that restored ours fabricates all new panels and his attention to detail is fantastic. So good he supplies other suppliers if you get me.
