hi new to this, i have bj 45 80% finished stuck for a few parts ,
mainly 2 curvy corner windows and rubbers perfectly secondhand
there the same as bj 40 i think (1982)
plus has any of u guys fitted a hilux surf power steering box and pump
to the bj 40 is it a success ,does the oil pipes need cooling (in front
of radiator ) does the oil ever boil in pump etc,
grateful for any help cheers

Gday Brian and welcome to LCOC . I think the glass should be the same. You could try cross referencing the part numbers on toyodiy.com. I have the power steering system from a LJ70 which is if not the same is very similar to the hilux of the same vintage. As yet im no where near fitting it. I still have heaps of body work to contend with.

I'm new to LCOC and landcruiser bought bj40 with no top trying to buy soft top Called GE-TOP in Belguim they no longer manufacture and have no stock I have emailed a few companies in america without answer Is there any simple way of purchasing soft top approx budget €700

is the steering box on a lj70 not mounted in front of the axle ,
it looked a good bit different , the hilux one looks alot weaker but nearly d same,
i have a bj 40 aswell has about 5 holes which isn't 2 bad got it 4 parts but its away 2
scrap was on d road 2 years ago , a mate told me last week mallasses is good to get
rid of rust ,have 2 try yet

christy28134 new 2 this myself , ya try euro4x4 parts if ya ring they good engish and are suppose to be
very helpful , r d half of ireland ar n ozz maybe a friend could ship it???
