howdy boys and girls! was recommended to join up here by brendan tyrell think you might know him as SR?? few familiar names round these parts too..... go easy on me lads as i'm a dyed in the wool landrover man:o!! however from next week myself and the driver will be toyota men!! we have just done a deal on a 1988 70 series swb. BIG plans for it so expect photo's and stuff in the off road build section. also expect lots and lots of newbie questions on lots of stupid topics. i'm also one of the organisers of the offroad swap meet and marshall/gopher/route planner for the challenge for charity. (when i say we i refer to the driver of the challenge landy we campaign at the moment who is an ace fabricator but gets flustered with 'pooters)
anyhoo off for a poke around now! cheers vince

Welcome Vince,
I know Brendan well, he had a great weekend with you guys at Dartfield a while back.
Best of luck with the 70.
Keeps us posted with any events that may be around as I can't find the time to organise our own at the moment.

I am aware of it, I would usually be deep in the organisation of it, but i stepped down from the L4x4 committee this year to free up time.
Annagh hill will put the fun back into it but do expect a tough time.
Looking forward to more 4x4 events in the country, I believe the off road community here is still in its infancy and has a lot of growing to do.

Hi Vince welcome to the real dark side.
Only joined myself a couple of weeks ago, haven't met any of the heads here yet but they seem fairly normal so far......not atall like all the weirdos in the Landy community....hee heeeee. must be sometin about landy drivers gettin gearoil in their veins that does it.
So is the Landy challenge truck for the high road then or are you keepin it for oldtime sake?

Lookin forward to seein what you and the other half make out of the 70 series, r u goin down the road of a tube buggy?

Love to see the build pics.

Regards,
Mike
