Cooper st's seem to be the a/t tyre of choice.
I know a lot running them at the moment and prefer them over bfg's

Welcome Robin,
Congrats on your inspired purchase, are we biased or what........ you mention tyres, I have sent you a PM. If I can help in this matter great if not, thats fine too. Trust me I'm not on here to make my fortune sellin tyres but if I can oblige or help in any way I will.
Now you also mention a can of black spray..........please please don't do it......... I recently bought a 94 80 series that was commercialised by a thumper(a person who couldn't give a sh*t) and I have spent the last 3 days scraping off the paint he put on the windows. Why am I removing it ...cause it went all orange peely over time and started to flake too in spots, god it looked orrible. I am keeping mine as a commercial but want it looking right too so am gettin black film put on the 5x windows for 150e down here(Ennis). The windows will work again and yet it will still be a commercial.
Was yours originally brought in and cleared VRT private or commercial and converted?
Throw up a few pics when you get a chance.
Regards,
Mike

normal car spray paint isnt designed for the high temps windows have to deal with in the sun, they the paint will crack badly the first sunny day.
you could use high temp spray paint, and it wont crack, but, some of the brands will work - and some will not, ive found out the hard way. i wish i took note of the brand that did work
