I have always wanted a Bj40 and so I went looking and I found one about a year ago,I looked at it for at least an hour before I decided to bite the bullet- I just couldn't believe how I could possibly save such a rusty yoke! Now somehow I have two more pretty rotten Bj 40s and no matter how rotten they are I love them. They have style.
I am now welding up the youngest, a 1982 originally from Meath and hope to eventually have two done. I love working on it and I really love seeing what you are all doing to your machines.
LONG LIVE THE PASSION!

Thanks for the welcome Traction,Adam and Bob. I am enthusiastic but the work is big and progress seems slow, but it must be ready by Nov as its her vintage b/day.At the moment I'm on the body but all the time thinking about power steering, discs on front spring over or not,(Adam what did you do about castor on your BJ70 spring over conversion, did you cut and turn the knuckles or is that not necessary for off road?) and I would like to try putting a turbo on the b engine, is this possible?

Its good to know it works ok without the cut and turn. The link to turbo mod was great thanks, flipping the manifold is a good idea.I also don't understand the french and 470.00 e isn't bad if it includes the turbo.I will be going this way when the time comes.
